Welcome to The Old Mill Inn, Where your hosts James & Alison would like to extend their warm welcome!

James & Alison took over The Old Mill Inn, on the 1st of February 2010, after a mere 4 weeks, the loss of a wall, gallons of paint, and a complete refurbishment they were finally ready to open the doors!

Parts of The Old Mill Inn, date back to the 17th century, when it was 3 seperate buildings, these buildings were used for a variety of purposes including; a funeral directors & a butchers. The buildings were all amalgamated, and a small secret room created, the room was designed to be a 'safe house' for priests during the Catholic & Protestant battles. The room was only accessible from a small opening in the roof.

The room was only discovered about 20 years ago, it's said to have had an old bible & a flask of Whiskey. The bible & whiskey were removed & the room opened up, ever since the bible's removal strange unexplainable phenomena has been happening, one of the previous owners is said to have had 3 exorcisms performed at The Old Mill, shortly before they packed up & left.

No one has ever felt threatened while at The Old Mill Inn, -Except by the previous landlord, but thats a diffrent story!
